Ragtime Extravaganza

River Raisin Ragtime Revue’s 12th Annual Event – Saturday, July 6, 2024

River Raisin Ragtime Revue’s Ragtime Extravaganza festival returns to the PlaneWave Campus in Adrian, Michigan for this year’s Fourth of July weekend and includes a day of live music and family events capped off with a community fireworks display. The event will be held Saturday, July 6 and run from 2:00 pm until the fireworks at dark.

2:30 to 3:30PM Adrian City Band

3:30PM to 4PM 30-minute PlaneWave Instruments Tour

4-5:30 PM Los Hermanos

5:30PM to 7PM 90-minute PlaneWave Instruments/Haviland Hall Tour

6-7PM Comedy and Magic Show with Gordon the Magician

7:30-8:30PM Miss Maybell and Charlie Judkins (ragtime, early jazz and blues duo from New York)

9-10PM River Raisin Ragtime Revue orchestra

9:15PM Cake Walk Contest and Raffle Drawing

10PM Fireworks

Ragtime Extravaganza is a collaboration among the PlaneWave Instruments campus partners and other community non-profits and businesses, like the Adrian Center for the Arts and Above Pete’s Garage.

Free Fun Events for the Entire Family

This year’s Extravaganza features local, regional, and national talent. Bands include the Adrian City Band under the direction of Brian Gorski; the local Tejano ensemble Los Hermanos; Miss Maybell and Charlie Judkins, a ragtime and early jazz duo from New York City; and the River Raisin Ragtime Revue orchestra.

This free family festival also features a children’s magic show, an instrument petting zoo, children’s face-painting, games, and a bounce house. Local artists will offer creations for sale. A variety of festival food trucks and craft beer will be offered.
